Across New York City (next America, soon the world) urbanites gather in bars and other nontraditional spaces for a unique experience of yoga combined with social rituals—sometimes wine, sometimes coffee, and always fun!  A brief “happy hour” is followed by a beginner-friendly 45-minute vinyasa sequence with beverage in-hand. Come laugh, feel yourself and find community.

Drunk Yoga is a social, interactive yoga experience hosted in bars, cafes, office spaces, and other unconventional settings. We help newbies experience yoga without fear, and seasoned yogis reconnect with yoga sans pressure to be perfect. Our mission is to inspire joy, cultivate community, and bring you back to yourself. We invite you to let your hair down, have some fun and enjoy this potent union of yoga and social ritual.

I’ve been teaching sober yoga classes and private clients as a 500 RYT certified instructor since 2014. The Drunk Yoga™ revolution sprang from my desire to bring yoga, self-empowerment and community to yogis and non-yogis alike. We ditch perfectionism, take the pressure out of the practice and turn yoga into a party. My greatest hope is that you leave Drunk Yoga™ feeling uplifted, perhaps a little buzzed, and empowered with a new container for cultivating personal joy.

This experience was amazing. We had such a great time and the [instructors] made us feel so comfortable. [...] Love the class... We’re going back.

We had an absolutely terrific Sunday Fun-day!! Girls’ day, beautiful weather, met fun people, and enjoyed ourselves all around!! Also, I don’t do yoga, so I found it totally awesome doing basic moves, and the wine made it fun, too. Our class was on a yacht, so we were totally having a good time!!

I brought a man to Drunk Yoga who had never taken any kind of yoga class before. Before it was over he said, ‘We need to do this again!’

This was such a fun event to go to when I was in town! Eli Walker was a very skilled yoga instructor, making sure we all had a blast, but also showed us adaptations to meet our level. She is so knowledgeable and such a bright light. Hopefully Drunk Yoga will come to my hometown so I can take my friends to relax and drink.
— Mari Galle
What a great experience! Eli was a great teacher and really created the space for me to unwind!

This was an extremely fun experience. The yogi, Eli, is a passionate and experienced instructor. It’s about people enjoying yoga in social environment with a non-judgmental class. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to take more classes!!!!!!
